We arrived in Paris on a wet Saturday morning, about 11 in the morning. After being up all night, we took the train to our hotel, left our bags, and found a little spot to grab a bit to eat. I got some warm 'French' Onion soup :). Since it was a Saturday, there was a Farmer's Market going on that we passed through.
These cheeses gave off wonderful aromas! Too bad they wouldn't let me taste test them all!
We thought the site of brains for sale quite interesting.
This little fellow had some festive jolly music to share with us!
We met up with Judah and Keslie and headed toward Invalides'. I was excited to see a Creperie and the huge Nutella jars!
Not sure what Judah was going for in this picture!
Inside Invalides'. Incredible attention to detail- especially since it was my first building to see!
Next we headed over to Arch de Triumph. We hiked up the stairs to the top. This is the view from the top. Love the top of the Paris buildings!
Here are the four of us (minus half of Judah's head)
Dave and I with the Eiffel Tower
We went to the Galleria Lafayette. A crazy touristy mall/store. We basically went in and out because it was so crowded. But we can say we were there.
This is a beautiful Cathedral that was just sitting down the street from Notre Dame that we went through, a no name. Fabulous stain glass and architecture though.
In front of Louvre I believe. We cut the first day short a little bit as we were a little jet lagged.....
